Dear Mr. Sieverding:

The proposed sale of gas. lease (flos. A66 and 66) on the Outer Continental Shelf in the Gulf of Mexico covers the same area that was the subject of your inquiry of December 29, 1978. Our reply of March 14, 1979 provided responses to a set of specific questions relating to your project. A copy of the above correspandence is enclosed for your convenience.

To date we have not identified any conflicts between the proposed sale of gas lease A66 and 66 and the facilities presently licensed by the NRC or with any facility which is in the licensing process. Also, we are not aware of any proposed facility within our agency's purview which might be in conflict with the above mentioned sale.

We are grateful for having an opportunity to comment on your proposed project.

Sincerely, k a med by g
