Gentlemen:
Haddam Neck Plant Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit Nos.1, 2, and 3 Reactor Pressure Vessel Weld Material In Reference (1), Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) cud Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) indicated that a response to the Reference (2) concerns relative to possible use of atypical weld material in reactor pressure vessels would be provided on or about July 13, 1979.
By letter dated June 8, 1979, Combustion Engineering, Incorporated, transmitted a generic document entitled, "Information Requested by I&E Bulletin 78-12, Atypical Weld Material in Reactor Pressure Vessel Welds".
Please be advised that this generic report adequately represents data for the reactor pressure vessels for Millstone Unit Nos.1, 2, and 3, and the Haddam Neck Plant.
Applicable materials used in the fcbrication of these four vessels are addressed in the report.
