LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION, BATTELLE PACIFIC NORTHWEST LABORATORIES, DOCKET NO.70-984, MAY 1, 1979 We have established a review schedule and initiated review of the subject license renewal application for the Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories. The schedule was prepared essentially in accordance with the " Plan for Licensing Review and Inspection Related to Major Licensing Actions for Fuel Cycle Facilities", which is referenced in the " Agreement On Interface and Division of Responsibility Between the Offices of NMSS and I&E" concluded on January 31, 1978.
The major milestones in our review schedule are as follows:

Completion of initial safety reviews Sep t. 10, 1979 2.
Completion of initial project manager review Sept. 24, 1979 3.
Site visit Nov. 5, 1979 4.
Applicant response to NRC cor.ments Dec 31, 1979 5.
Completion of final safety reviews Jar. 24, 1980 6.
Completion of final project manager review Feb. 14, 1980 7.
Complete draft of integrated Safety Evaluation Report (SER)
March 6, 1980 8.
Prepare final SER March 27, 1980 9.
Issue renewed license April 10, 1980
