Daar Thank you for your letter of March 23 regarding the flaine Yankee shutdown.
I agree that, if all the systems turn out to be capable of withstanding the design basis earthquake for the !!iscassett area, the liaine Yankee plant should be restored to operation as quickly as possible.
However, the accident at Three hile Island 'makes clear that your thought that "our engineerir.g skills have reasonably coped with the dangers" is at least premature.
