ICIIGHT TRIP REPORT - VISIT TO TE EE MILZ ISLAND 2 on JA'iUARY 22, 1973 Applicant: Metropolitan Edison Cc=pany Facility: Three Mile Island 2 Docket No. 50.-320 The purpose of the trip was to obtain familiarization with the plant and its construction in light of my forthconing assumption of the MID revies responsibility.
Of pri=ary interest was the pipe whip restraints. Although installed on many of the s= aller lines, the restraints had not yet been installed en the large diamter lines.
The tour included the scale model of the plant being constructed for Metropolitan Edison. This afforded an excellant opportunity to place in perspective what we had just seen in the plant itself.
The tour was concluded with a trip through the unrestricted areas of Three Mile Island 1.
