This is in response to your request for coc=ents on the environmental impact statement identified by a copy of your cover letter attached to this document.
""he staff of the Advisory Council has reviewed the submitted i= pact statement and suggests the following, identified by checkmark on this form:
l The final statement should contain (1) a sentence indicating that the National Register of Historic Places has been consulted and that no National Registar properties will be affected by the project, el (2) a listing of the National Register properties to be affected, an analysis of the nature of the effects, a discussion of the ways in which the effects were taken into account, and an account of steps taken to assure compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (80 Stat. 915) in accordance with procedures of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation as they appear in the Federal Rerister, March 15, if72.
In the case of properties under the control or jurisdiction of the United States Government, the str.tement should show evidence of contact with the official appointed by your agency to act as liaison for pur-poses of Executive Order 11593 of May 13, 1971, and include a discussion of steps taken to comply with Section 2(b) of the Executive Order.

The draft environ = ental s:atement states that the 1969 edition of the National Register of Historic Places has been censulted. As this list has been considerably revised since then, the final statement should specify that the current listings of the National Register as published in the Federal Register, March 15, 1972, as supplemented, have been consulted.
