UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-320 JERSEY CENTRAL P0'aER & LIGHT COMPANY METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY AND PENNSYLVANIA ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL CONSTRUCTION PERMIT NO. CPPR-66 Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatsry Commission (the Commission), has issued Amendment No. I to Provisional Colstruction Permit No. CPPR-66 issued to Jersey Central Power & Light Company and Metropolitan Edison Company for the construction of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2.
This unit is a pressurized water reactor and is located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment reflects a change in ownership of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2.
As a result of the change Pennsylvania Electric Company will acquire an interest in the ownership of the f acility. The amendment reflects the proposed changes in ownership interests for the three participating comparies (Jersey Central Power & Light Company, Metropoli tan Edison Company, and Pennsylvanic Electric Company). Metropoli tan Edison Company will retain sole responsibility for overall planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and disposal of the facility.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atcmic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate 53 G1 231 79042101

. findings as required by the 4ct and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the construction permit amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance er Lhis amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and thaw pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4), an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared.
