RECORD OF ACTIONS, THREE MILE ISLAND (DOCKET NO. 50-320) l On 4 April 1979, several members U) of the Office of Standards Development met in R. G. Smith's office to discuss the collection of information i
pertinent to the Three Mile Island incident which would be useful to Mr. Minogue during his testimony at the Hearings being conducted by 7
Senator Kennedy. Originally the testimony was scheduled for the following i
day, April 5th, but later in the evening Mr. Minogue received word that the Hearing would be delayed. The decision was made at that time, however, that the collection of information should continue as planned.
I One of the tasks agreed upon was a collection of the inventories of the significant fission products expected in the core of the Three Mile Island reactor at shutdown and at various periods of time after shutdown. Plots of the decaying inventories were to be cade where i
feasibl e.
Russell Stanford (FPSSB) and I were assigned this task, and we began by aostracting and converting data from ORIGEN(2) codes currently on hand.

It became apparent shortly that this process of converting the data was too cumbersome and, at the suggestion of Keith Steyer (FPSSG), we contacted fiMSS and requested that they arrange with Dak Ridge to make an ORIGEN run specifically for Three Mile Island.
