In connection with the Commission's consideration of the Lewis Committee Report (NUREG/CR-0400), the Commission has issued a policy statement on the reactor safety study and its review by Lewis. This is enclosed for the information of the parties.
In addition, at the Commission's request, the Staff has conducted a survey of the uses which the Staff has made of WASH-1400. A copy of this survey is also enclosed for the information of the parties.
Copies of the enclosed documents have been furnished separately to all Licensing and Ar 7eal Board Panel members for their use.
