SAND 77-1927 cntitled, "Transpor;fof Radionuclides in Urban Environs:
Working Draft Assessment" (WDA)- is a preliminary r2 port in the develop-cent by NRC of a Generic Environ = ental Irpact Statement (GEIS) en transportation of radionuclides in urban envircus. The general objectives of the GEIS are (1) to identify any unacceptable risk or hazard to public health and safety and (2) to identify promising alternatives whereby current levels of safety =ay be improved further. The study is not intended, by itself, to support any specific rule = akin: action er other regulatory activity.
Amccg the tcpics discussed in the WDA are:

More recently, the Nuclear Recualtory Cornission Staff has becere aware of a document which contains infor=ation potentially relevant to the issue of sabota;;e of spent nuclear fuel. The docunent is classified as s
national security informatics and is in draft form.
It is uncertain that a final version vill ever be published.
