Dear Jessie,

Lower Sioux Tribal Historic Preservation Office acknowledges official receipt of your March 25th, 2019 notification regarding the above project. Thank-you for the opportunity to provide comment on your project.

Lower Sioux is directly associated to many areas of cultural importance and/or religious significance identified within the project area. After review of the materials for the proposed license amendment for LACBWR our office has determined we have no immediate interest to consult on the project. We do impress Wisconsins requirements for landowners to obtain a formal Request to Disturb in the APE that overlaps with the mound area.

The APE is within a known cultural/ archaeologically significant area, the potential to impact resources must be recognized and planned for accordingly. We kindly request to be notified of progress and updates.

Please contact me if you have questions at (507) 697-8672 or lowersiouxthpo@lowersioux.com Sincerely, Cheyanne St. John Tribal Historic Preservation Officer Lower Sioux Indian Community of Minnesota CC:
