By email dated November 29, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML18334A027), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff accepted a license amendment request (LAR) for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Hatch), dated October 17, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18290A940; EPID L-2018-LLA-0288). The LAR would modify the Actions associated with Technical Specification (TS) 3.6.4.1, Secondary Containment, to allow up to 7 days to determine and correct the cause of secondary containment degradation when at least one combination of standby gas treatment subsystems can maintain adequate secondary containment vacuum.

In the email dated November 29, 2018, the NRC staff estimated that it would complete its review by August 31, 2019; this estimate was based on the NRC staffs initial review of the application. The revised estimate for completion of this LAR is September 2019.
