Evaluation Report INDEPENDENT EVALUATION OF THE FEDERAL INFORMATION SECURITY MODERNIZATION ACT OF 2014 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017 DNFSB-18-A-02 Status of Recommendations Recommendation 2:
Develop an information system contingency plan for the DNFSB General Support System (GSS).
Agency Response Dated June 14, 2019:
The Information System Contingency Plan was approved and signed May 2019, and is attached as supporting documentation.
OIG Analysis:
OIG auditors reviewed the DNFSB GSS Information System Contingency Plan, Version 1, approved by the Director of Operational Services and System Owner, on May 29, 2019.
DNFSB certified that the contingency plan is complete and that the information in it is an accurate representation of the system, its hardware, software and components. Further, the agency certified that the document identifies the criticality of the system as it relates to the mission of DNFSB and that the recovery strategies identified will provide the ability to recover system functionality in an expedient, cost effective manner. DNFSB attests that the plan will be tested at least annually.
This Information System Contingency Plan satisfies the intent of this recommendation, therefore this recommendation is considered closed.
Status:
Closed.
