Dear Mr. Hill:
The purpose of this letter is to partially update the membership list of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff participating in committee meetings of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME B&PV Code),Section III. At the November 2018 and February 2019 ASME B&PV Code,Section III Standards Committee meetings, it was voted to reorganize the ASME B&PV Code,Section III Code Committees related to ASME B&PV Code,Section III, Division 5 to streamline the Code Committee structure in order to make more efficient use of ASME volunteers time.
Enclosed is an update of the NRC membership that reflects the reorganized ASME B&PV Code,Section III, Division 5 Code Committees. For the committees listed in the enclosure, all previous NRC representatives that had been designated should be removed from the rosters for those committees. The only NRC staff members for the committees should be the listed members.
The enclosure also includes a listing of committees alternates. The NRC has identified alternates for these committees so that ASME will recognize them as official NRC representatives. These individuals are actively involved with review of the ASME B&PV Code, and we request that they be given access to C&S Connect. The NRC acknowledges that only one of the identified members or alternates will vote on any particular action going through a committee.
All of the NRC representatives and alternates have been previously nominated by the NRC for Code Committees. Therefore, there is no nomination paperwork attached.
