NuScale Power, LLC Notification of Completion of the Confirmatory Items for the Design Specification Audit
REFERENCES:
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Summary Follow-Up Audit Report of Design Specifications, December 27, 2018 At the conclusion of the NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale) Design Specification Audit, conducted by U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory (NRC) Staff during the period of June 1, 2017 through August 29, 2017 (Phase 1) and May 14, 2018 through October 11, 2018 (Phase 2), and documented by the referenced summary audit report, thirty confirmatory items were identified that required follow-up NuScale actions. As summarized in the report, NuScale is to complete the planned changes to the applicable documents for the confirmatory items prior to completion of the NRC Staff review of the NuScale Design Certification Application. The NRC Staff will review the revised documents to confirm the issue has been appropriately addressed once NuScale notifies the NRC by letter that the changes to the applicable documents have been implemented.
The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC staff that all of the items identified as Confirmatory in the summary audit report have been completed and are available for follow-up review.
This letter makes no regulatory commitments or revisions to any existing regulatory commitments.
