[EXTERNAL] RE: FW: NRC RAI 20190516 l 435-B Rev. 5 Good morning,
I want to offer some information on one of your comments. I understand that the Model No.
1105-SD is the essentially the same design as the one approved for the CoC, Revision 2, Model No. 435-B, with exception of the version of ANSI 14.5. These are considered, for certification purposes two standalone CoCs. Therefore, any changes to the Model No. 435-B are evaluated separately from Model No. 1105-SD. After this revision, if approved, the package designs will not be same because the authorized contents for each design will be different. Responses to RAI responses, and other information requested, related to Model No. 435-B must be provided as part of the licensing basis for the package design.
I hope that this clarifies one of your questions\\comments. I can set up a phone call or a public meeting for the other two comments. The public meeting can be in the format of a phone call if you want to go into specific details, since it seems that it can get into the technical details during the discussion. I am just offering that suggestion for your consideration. Please let me know your preference (a high-level phone call or a public meeting (phone call?)).
Feel free to contact me if you have additional questions.
- Thanks, Norma

[External_Sender] FW: NRC RAI 20190516 l 435-B Rev. 5 Good afternoon Norma,
Thank you very much for your support, insight, and updates. As a follow-up to our earlier phone call, Im sending over Oranos initial thoughts document which captures the areas where they are seeking clarification.
I would like to respectfully request your take on the attached initial thoughts document to see if you think a conference call would be appropriate to address their questions or if this rises to the technical level requiring a public meeting request.
Thanks again to giving this a look and I look forward to your response.

RE: NRC RAI 20190516 l 435-B Rev. 5 Hi Mark,
Please see the attached draft thoughts on the NRC RAIs to 435-B SAR Rev. 5.
Once NA-531 sends the questions formally, we should probably have a discussion with them, at least about the first RAI. Then we need a discussion with NWP/Sellmer, and finally a discussion with NRC on a couple of points. Then we can proceed and revise the SAR. We are planning for this to be Revision 5.1. We will save Revision 6 for the next version with substantial new material.
Please let us know if you have suggestions or questions on the RAIs, and when the discussions can be planned.
Thank you,
