- Jim, I have uploaded the file containing the Round 4 Requests for Additional Information (RAIs) into the box.com folder Toshiba Audit Files. Consistent with the revised Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff procedure, RAIs are no longer transmitted via a formal letter. Rather, they are provided through the box.com portal.
Both the RAI file in the box.com portal and this email will be placed into ADAMS as Official Agency Records. This email will be designated as public. The RAIs will be nonpublic until Toshiba confirms there is no proprietary information in them.
When Toshiba responds to the RAIs, the responses need to include the RAIs verbatim. Also, if the RAIs contain proprietary information , the NRC file in ADAMS will remain nonpublic. Therefore, Toshiba needs to provide a formal, proprietary response and redacted version of the RAIs and RAI responses that can be made public. Both should be transmitted via letter from Toshiba with an affidavit requesting withholding under 10 CFR 2.290, if appropriate.
Please provide your responses within 60 days of the date of this email. If you cannot respond by then, please inform me of the date by which Toshiba plans to provide its responses.
