1IIIeren Callaway Plant MISSOURI June 6, 2019 ULNRC-06510 U. S Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-000 1 10 CFR 50.90 Ladies and Gentlemen:

DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRIC CO.

RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 SUPPLEMENT TO LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST TO REVISE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR TESTING OF MAIN TURBINE CONTROL SLAVE RELAY (LDCN 18-0025)

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Application for amendment oflicense or construction permit, Ameren Missouri (Union Electric Company) herewith transmits the attached supplement for the license amendment request (LAR) submitted by Ameren Missouri letter ULNRC-06485, License Amendment Request to Revise Technical Specifications for Testing of Main Turbine Control Slave Relay (LDCN 18-0025), dated March 12, 2019. The attached provides a correction to Technical Specification (TS) Table 3 .3 .2-1 Function 5.a, to reflect the removal of slave relay K620 from the scope ofTS Surveillance Requirement (SR) 3.3.2.14.

As noted in the March 12, 2019 LAR, the K620 slave relay is specifically associated with Function 5.a on TS Table 3 .3 .2-1 As proposed per the LAR, this relay is being removed from the scope of SR 3 .3 .2. 14 as it is being incorporated into the scope of SR 3 .3 .2.6, consistent with the frequency at which the slave relay test should be performed for this relay in light of the plant modification (described in the LAR) that now enables the relay to be tested during plant operation. For each Function identified in Table 3.3.2-1, all ofthe SRs applicable to the Function are listed. The attached correction (change) removes SR 3 .3 .2. 14 from the list of SRs provided for Function 5.a (since SR 3 .3 .2. 14 was listed for Function 5.a on the table solely due to the K620 relay). This change should have been included in the LAR since removal ofthe K620 relay from SR 3 .3 .2.14 makes the SR no longer applicable to Function 5.a.

ULNRC-065 10 June 6, 2019 Page 2 of 4 Three attachments are provided in support of the change/correction. Attachment 1 is a mark-up of the affected TS page that includes Table 3.3.2-1, Function 5.a. Attachment 2 is a retyped TS page reflecting the proposed change. Attachment 3 is an updated mark-up of the affected TS Bases page for SR 3 .3 .2. 14. The TS Bases mark-up reflects an additional change relative to what was provided with the March 12, 2019 LAR, i.e., an additional change for removing the reference to Function 5.a in the Bases text for SR 3 .3 .2. 14. As noted in the March 22, 2019 LAR, the TS Bases change is provided for information only. It is to be incorporated upon issuance of the requested license amendment.

The TS correction submitted per this LAR supplement provides an additional TS change that supports and is entirely consistent with the TS change described in the March 12, 2019 LAR. As such, the additional change does not change the No Significant Hazards Consideration conclusions reached in the LAR, nor does it change the conclusion regarding no need for an environmental assessment based on the categorical exclusion provisions of 1 0 CFR 51.22.

It should be noted that this submittal does not contain new commitments. In addition, the Callaway Onsite Review Committee has reviewed and approved the proposed change and has approved the submittal of this supplement to the amendment application.

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 Notice for Public Comment; State Consultation, Section (b)(1), a copy of this amendment application is being provided to the designated Missouri State official.

If there are any questions on this amendment application, please contact me at 573-676-8 1 88 or Mr.

Tom Elwood at 314-225-1905.

I declare under penalty ofperjury that the foregoing is true and correct.

Sincerely, Executed on: G j
