19-236 RO 50-395 and 72-1038 NPF-12 In accordance with 1 O CFR 72.44(d)(3), South Carolina Electric & Gas Company hereby submits the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) annual report for the previous twelve months of operation at VCSNS.
By the design of the seal welded storage canisters of the ISFSI, there are no plausible effluent release pathways. Periodic surveillances and radiological surveys of and around the facilities performed during the year confirm that the canister and overpack assemblies are performing as designed. The effluent releases from the ISFSI for the past twelve months is zero.
On April 29, 2019, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G), which is authorized under Facility Operating License NPF-12 to operate and possess Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Unit 1, changed its name to Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc. SCE&G will be requesting a license amendment to reflect this name change in the near future.
