PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2INFORMATION REQUEST TO SUPPORT THE NRC ANNUAL BASELINE EMERGENCY ACTION LEVEL AND EMERGENCY PLAN CHANGES INSPECTION

Dear Mr. Sharp:

This letter is to request information to support the Emergency Action Level and Emergency Plan Changes Inspection that will be conducted during the third and fourth quarters of 2019. This inspection will be performed as an in-office review and in accordance with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Baseline Inspection Procedure 71114.04. The list of requested documents needed from your staff for this inspection is enclosed. We are requesting that these documents are for the time period specified in the list, as applicable.

The point of contact for this request is Michelle Garza, Region III Emergency Preparedness Inspector, and can be reached at 630-829-9719. We will keep in close communications with the Emergency Preparedness staff at your site regarding this request and the inspection when performed.

This letter does not contain new or amended information collection requirements subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). Existing information collection requirements were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, Control Number 3150-0011. The NRC may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a request for information or an information collection requirement unless the requesting document displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget Control Number.

6. Governing site document for Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR),

Part 50.54(q) evaluation process.

7. Title 10 CFR 50.54(q) evaluator training program and qualification records.
8. Title 10 CFR 50.54(q) screenings and evaluations for Emergency Plan and EAL changes that were completed between June 30, 2018, and June 30, 2019.
9. For each change of the Emergency Plan and EALs, submit the previous revision, proposed revision, and the associated 10 CFR 50.54(q) screening and evaluation (if performed).
10. Corrective Action Program entries related to 10 CFR 50.54(q) screenings, 10 CFR 50.54(q) evaluations, EAL changes and Emergency Plan changes dated between June 30, 2018, and June 30, 2019.
