STAFF RESPONSE TO THE OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERALS AUDIT OF THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSIONS TRAINING SELECTION PROCESS FOR AGREEMENT STATE PERSONNEL (OIG-19-A-11)
The staff received the Office of the Inspector Generals (OIG) Audit of the NRCs Training Selection Process for Agreement State Personnel, dated April 30, 2019. This memorandum provides the staffs response to the audit recommendation. The response includes the staffs planned actions and the target date for completing the planned actions. The OIG Audit Report made one recommendation. The response is provided below.
Recommendation:
Update SA-600, Training Selection Process and Criteria for Agreement State Personnel, to more accurately reflect the training selection process and the roles and responsibilities of the NRC parties involved.
Response and Planned Action The NRC staff agrees with the recommendation and will revise SA-600.
Target date for completion Complete action by March 2020.
