Discuss a final draft technical request for additional information (RAI) for the Humboldt Bay Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) renewal application and agree upon expected response from PG&E.
A teleconference was held between NRC and PG&E to discuss a draft technical RAI on the Humboldt Bay ISFSI renewal application, which were provided to PG&E on March 27, 2019. A list of the participants is provided on page two.
The purpose of the call was to: (1) ensure a common understanding of the RAIs; (2) ensure that the RAIs are not already addressed in the current submittal; and (3) establish an appropriate response date for PG&E to respond to the RAIs.
The participants came to a common understanding on the RAI. The parties agreed to an RAI response date of June 14, 2019, for all of the RAIs except RAIs 2-1 and A-6. The parties agreed to an RAI response date of July 5, 2019, for the last two RAIs No follow up actions were identified for the NRC beyond issuance of the RAI letter.
