RE: RE: REQUEST: Review of Determinations re: La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor in Vernon County, Wisconsin Good morning Mr. Quackenbush, Thank you for your response. We are not aware of any archeological work conducted for this project. The only information we have is what the Wisconsin Historical Society provided. At this time, no permits have been issued by the State to the licensee because no landdisturbing work is planned for the area within the burial mound site. However, we have made sure the licensee - LaCrosse Solutions, is aware of the states requirements. We have reviewed the licensees procedure which states that LaCrosse Solutions would notify the NRC immediately if artifacts are found during landdisturbing activities.

Sincerely, Jessie Quintero From: Bill L. Quackenbush [1]

REQUEST: Review of Determinations re: La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor in Vernon County, Wisconsin

Dear Mr. Quackenbush,

I hope you are doing well. I wanted to share a courtesy copy of a letter we sent to your office last week. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is reviewing a license termination plan (LTP) for the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) located in Vernon County, Wisconsin. The LTP lays out the remaining activities to be completed in order for the license to be terminated by the NRC. The LACBWR has not operated since 1987 and has been undergoing decommissioning since 2007. The site is also colocated with an operating fossil fuel plant, Genoa3.

The NRC is sending you this letter to inform you of our determinations under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and for National Environmental Policy Act and to ask if you have any information to provide regarding those determinations. We are requesting a response within 30 days of receipt of the letter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Sincerely, Jessie Muir Quintero
