GoodmorningMr.Quackenbush, Thankyouforyourresponse.Wearenotawareofanyarcheologicalworkconductedforthisproject.Theonly informationwehaveiswhattheWisconsinHistoricalSocietyprovided.Atthistime,nopermitshavebeenissuedbythe Statetothelicenseebecausenolanddisturbingworkisplannedfortheareawithintheburialmoundsite.However, wehavemadesurethelicensee-LaCrosseSolutions,isawareofthestatesrequirements.Wehavereviewedthe licenseesprocedurewhichstatesthatLaCrosseSolutionswouldnotifytheNRCimmediatelyifartifactsarefoundduring landdisturbingactivities.

2 HistoricPreservationAct(NHPA-Section106compliance)wewillmakecommentasthefollowing:Weatthis time,havenoknownculturallysensitivesitesand/ortraditionalculturalproperties(TCP)withintheareaof potentialeffectsofyourproposedundertaking,otherthanthose.Wealsounderstandthereareburial mound/sitesdocumentedbytheWisconsinStateHistoricalSociety,thatindicatepotentialburialareaswithin theAPEofyourproposedundertaking(Wis.Stat.157.70).Weaskthatyousenduscopiesofthesigned documentationandpermitsrequiredbytheWisconsinStateHistoricalSociety,forthisprojecttoproceed.If youhavehadanyarchaeologicalworkconductedspecifictothisproject,wedorequesttoreceiveacopyof thismaterialaswell.
Lastly,pleasebeawarethatwewishtoremainasaninterestedpartythroughoutthedurationofthis proposedundertaking.
