RESPONSE TO THE NON-COMPLIANCE ITEM REPORTED IN IE INSPECTION REPORT NOo 50-2-80/77-5 and 50-281/77:*s NRG Comment Contrary to 10CFR20.40l(a), the licensee did not maintain radiation.

exposure records containing all the information required by Form NRC-5 in that; (a) the licensee records did not show period ~f exposure, and (b).the licensee did not record neutron monitoring results for individuals.

The above deficiency is correct as stated.

a) The individ~al's form HP-1 did not contain a column with the specific period of exposure but the information was available 011 the form in that the month of the exposure record was indicated in the remarks section with a note to indicate that the normal period was calendar month.

b) The neutron monitoring results ~-Jere kept in a separate file.

Specifically, pursuant to section 2.,201 of the NRC 1 s 11Rules of Practice",

Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, the following information is submitted;

1. Corrective steps taken and the results achieved:

Our form HP-1 was changed to include a FROM-TO in the period of exposure column, and to add a column to~ord the neutron exposure results. The new form is in use.
