Dear Mr. Moseley:
Serial No. 580 PO&M/JTB:clw Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 In Mr. John G. *Davis' letter of june 30, 1972 concerning valve wall thickness, certain requirements were delineated in regard to valves in safety related systems.
The letter specified that acceptable documentation of conformance with the aforementioned requirements must be completed with-in three (3) years, i.e. June 30, 1975.
We will not complete our measurement and evaluation program until the end of the refueling outage of Unit No. 1, scheduled for September 1975.
We therefore request an extension of time until December 31, 1975 to complete our program.
The extension of time will not have any significant effect on the safe operation of the station; therefore, there are no safety implications associated with this request.
We will continue to keep you apprised of our progress in this matter.
