STATUS OF RECOMMENDATIONS: AUDIT OF DNFSBS ISSUE AND COMMITMENT TRACKING SYSTEM (IACTS)
AND ITS RELATED PROCESSES (DNFSB-19-A-02)
REFERENCE:
CHAIRMAN, DEFENSE NUCLEAR FACILITIES SAFETY BOARD, CORRESPONDENCE DATED MARCH 19, 2019 The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) received Chairman Hamiltons correspondence dated March 19, 2019, in which he explained DNFSB is working diligently to develop a path forward to implement recommendations for the Audit of DNFSBs Issue and Commitment Tracking System (IACTS) as well as related recommendations from the National Academy of Public Administration. OIG realizes that DNFSB has organized a series of public meetings occurring in December 2018, January 2019, and February 2019, with the fourth meeting to occur in late April 2019 to address the recommendations from the IACTS report.
In recognition of DNFSBs preferred approach to address the recommendations, in part, through a series of public meetings and subsequently provide a finalized plan for their implementation, each of the eight recommendations remain unresolved.
Please provide an updated status of each of the unresolved recommendations by May 31, 2019.
