-32 DPR-37 This is in response to IE Circular 76-02.concerning safety related relay failures.
We have completed a review at the Surry Power Station and have determined that our Periodic Test program is sufficient to prevent problems such as that described in the circular.
All safety related BF and BFD relays are tested in accordance with our Periodic Test program.
The test sequence is arranged such that plant operation is not interrupted. Misaligned.relay contactors are accounted for in each periodic. tesl since reactor trip and alarm annunciation would not properly occur
.if any given logic train relay failed.
