Serial No. 374B/082977 PO&H/ALH;das Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 Our letter serial nmnber 374A/082977 dated September 1, 1977 described a modification which would allow throttling of low head safety injection pump dis-charge valves from the control room.
The purpose of this letter is to document the fact that an Unreviewed Safety Question review in accordance with 10CFRS0.59 has been accomplished.
The review shows that an Unreviewed Safety Question does not exist as a result of this modification.
The Design Change Package required by the VEPCO Quality Assurance Manual contains a complete discussion of the 10CFR50.59 Unreviewed Safety Question evaluation.
This package is on file at the Surry Power Station for inspection.
