Dear Mr. Case:
Docket Nos.
License Nos.
' SURRY - ** 31 *6 (a)* DEM0NSTRATI ON 50-280 50-281 DPR-32 DPR-37 By letter dated May 16, 1977 (Serial No. 116) we requested a change (No. 49) to the Surry Power Station Technical Specifications.
Complete or partial relief was requested from Section TS-4.:13.
In support of that request,. we hereby are submitting the 316(a)
Demonstration which was filed with the Vi_rginia State Water Control Board.
The demonstration contains all of the information necessary to meet the statutory and regulatory standard for a successful Section 316(a) demonstration.
Vepco has conclusively demonstrated in this document, and the appendices, that no *appreciable harm has resulted from the thermal component of the Surry Power Station discharge to the balanced indigenous community of shellfish, fish and wildlife in and on the James River into which the dis-charge has bee.n made.
Due to the volume of material in the appendices, they are not being provided.
However, these appendices are available for inspection in Vepco 1 s Central Office in Richmond.
We hope this information will enable your staff to expedite its efforts in reviewing this change request.
