Dear Mr. Rusche:
Docket Nos. 50-280 50-281 License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 The Virginia Electric and Power Company submitted a letter on August 31, 1976, Serial No. 142/070976, concerning the radiological effects of a loss of coolant accident at the Surry Power Station.
Some of the information provided was not in final form since some field checking of safety systems was not yet complete.
We are now in a position to have our architect-engineer proceed with the final analysis.
Since this is a very costly project, we would appreciate it if your staff would review our initial report to examine the approach we have taken in analyzing this accident.
We would like to have your formal com-ments as soon as possible in order to proceed with the final analysis in a way that is acceptable to the NRG staff.
