License Nos. DPR-32 DPR-37 We have reviewed Mr. Reid's letter of April 22, 1976, advising us of the revisions to 10 CFR 50.55a, requiring periodic update of inservice inspection procedures.

As requested in his letter, we have determined the dates of the start of the next regular 40 month inspection period occurring after September 1, 1976.

Surry Unit 1 Surry Unit 2.

August 22, 1979:

January 1,. 1980 We are currently in the process of determining the practicability of conformance to certain ASME Section XI inservice inspection and testing requirements, as well as the impact of the changes to the regulations on the Technical Specifications.

We anticipate we will be prepared to submit any required requests for relief or license amendment by September!, 1976.
