Serial No. 298A PO&M/ TAP : das Docket No. 50-281 License No. DPR-37 In our letter of July 17, 1977, concerning Surry Unit No. 2 July shutdown, we identified a "2C" Steam Generator leaking hot leg tube at Row 4 Column 63.
A further review of our eddy current records of the April 1977 outage has re-vealed that this tube did not pass either a 0.650 probe or a 0.610 probe and should have been plugged at that time.
Therefore, if our plugging program had been perfectly implemented, the July shutdown could have been averted.
