UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 April 26, 2019 Mr. Robert Dailey, General Manager Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center 5701 Marinelli Road North Bethesda, MD 20852
Dear Mr. Dailey:
On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), we would like to express our appreciation to Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for supporting the NRCs 31st annual Regulatory Information Conference (RIC), held March 12-14, 2019. More than 2,300 attendees represented 34 countries at this years conference.
The RIC is the NRCs premier event. We strive to give attendees the ultimate conference experience, and this year, we enhanced the program by introducing more informal stage sets (i.e., soft furniture versus the more traditional head table setting). Gabor Csaszi and his teams were all hands on deck and seamlessly managed the staging during two tight turns. This is a true testimony to his teams professionalism and dedication to delivering exceptional hospitality.
NRC senior management is very pleased with the outcome of the conference and recognizes that executing an event the magnitude of the RIC requires the efforts of many. We therefore commend the entire staff who contributed to the success of the RIC, including department heads, red coats, and those in the back of the house, for ensuring excellence and quality customer service.
As co-sponsors of the RIC, we would appreciate your conveying our appreciation to the entire Marriott team for its dedication and exceptional support in making the RIC a success.
Sincerely,
/RA/
Ho K. Nieh, Director Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation
