License No. DPR-32 We have just completed the hydraulic snubber functional test required by Tech. Spec. 4.17 on Surry Unit No. II.
The results of this refueling test revealed a significant number of snubbers that failed to pass the acceptance criteria of the periodic test. All unacceptable hydraulic snubbers were subsequently re-adjusted, repaired or replaced.

Based on the test results experienced on Unit No. II, we have embarked on a similar program to insure operability of all snubbers required to be functionally tested, by Tech. Specs., on Surry Unit No. 1.
The program is in progress and will be completed before the return of Surry Unit No. 1 following the next scheduled outage.
