UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 April 23, 2019 ALL AGREEMENT STATES, VERMONT ACCEPTANCE TO THE SAFETY ASPECTS OF INDUSTRIAL RADIOGRAPHY (H-305)

COURSE (STC-19-022)

Purpose:

To provide notification to the States of students selected to attend the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Safety Aspects of Industrial Radiography (H-305) course scheduled to be held July 22-26, 2019, in St. Rose, Louisiana.

Background:

The NRC provides funding to the Agreements States for training and the associated travel.

Discussion: Students selected to attend the July 22-26, 2019, Safety Aspects of Industrial Radiography (H-305) course in St. Rose, Louisiana are provided in Enclosure 1. Please provide this notification to each individual from your program that has been accepted to this course.

Students selected to attend this course will be paid travel and per diem by the NRC. Detailed guidance for students is provided in Enclosure 2. Please inform us of any withdrawals immediately so that individuals on the waiting list have an opportunity to attend.

The pool of eligible attendees for this offering of the H-305 course was based on the high volume of waitlisted applications from the February 2019 offering. As a result, the July 2019 offering is filled solely with waitlisted applicants from the February 2019 offering. Due to class size, a small number of waitlisted applicants from the February 2019 offering were not selected for the July 2019 course. Those waitlisted applicants will be automatically approved for the first available offering in fiscal year 2020.
