Supplement to Submittal of Relief Request Associated with the Third lnservice Inspection (lSI) Interval Reference 1:
LR-N18-0087, "Submittal of Relief Request Associated with the Third lnservice Inspection (lSI) Interval," dated September 24, 2018 On September 24, 2018, PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG) submitted a relief request associated with the third lnservice Inspection (lSI) interval to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-57 for Hope Creek Generating Station (Reference 1 ). This letter corrects a typographical error in of the referenced letter.
On page 49 of Enclosure 1 in Relief Request No. HC-13R-08, PSEG discusses the basis for the alternate EVT-1 visual examinations that were performed on three of the recirculation inlet nozzles, one of the low pressure coolant injection (LPCI) nozzles, and one of the core spray nozzles. ASME Code N-648-1 was used as the basis for those examinations. Page 49 states that PSEG performed the surface area coverages for the visual examinations in accordance with surface area coverages defined in Figure IWC-2500-7(b) of the 2001 Edition of ASME Section XI. The figure referenced should be IWB-2500-7(b) instead of IWC-2500-7(b). This is aligned with the code case referenced, N-648-1.
The typographical error does not affect the statements made in the Reference 1 submittal concerning the proposed alternative and basis for use.
