The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on topics associated with the New Reactor Business Line including the strategic direction for the business line, key focus areas and challenges, light-water reactor (LWR) licensing activities, initiatives to modernize LWR reviews, Vogtle construction oversight, and advanced reactor preparations.
The staff should continue discussions with the Department of Energy on Price Anderson renewal.
