APPENDIX I TO 10CFR50 SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 We have reviewed-your February 19, 1976 letter providing additional guidance on information required by the NRC staff to evaluate compliance of Salem Nuclear Generating Station design with the requirements of Appendix I to 10CFR50.
We are in the process of developing the information requested in Enclosures 1 and 2 to your February 19, 1976 lettero Our initial calculations show that the present design of the Salem Station is adequate to meet the requirements of Appendix I and that no equipment additions will be necessaryo We expect to submit the required analyses prior to the June 4, 1976 date specified in Appendix I.
We are agreeable to your suggestion for a meeting of our respective technical staffs to discuss the data submittal and evaluation methods.
Please contact Mro R.P. Douglas (Extension 2349) of our staff to arrange a suitable date for the meetingo
