&"TI writing to you in reference to PSE&G' s recent application to expand its spent fuel capacity at the Salem Nuclear Plant #1, located in Lower Alloways Creek, New Jersey.
Several of my constituents have contacted me,.voicing
. their concernwith PSB&G'g request. 'They have also asked that the. tTRC hold publ~c hearin.gs so that area -residents may voice their opinions in this matter, and also have many of their inquiries answered.
-Therefore,. I. respectfully request that. the NRC arrange a public hearing regarding the aforementioned PSE&G proposal, preferably to be held in the Salem County area.
Would you please inform me of any action that the NRC may take in this request?
