Box 248 PENNSVILLE, NEW JERSEY 08070 (609) 678-3333 November 16, 1979 I am writing on behalf of Ms. Gall Robinson of P.O. Box 11, Mauricetown, New Jersey, 08329. She has contacted me reg*arding di.cussions centering around Salem I nuclear power generating station,
- Ms. Robinson informs me that she attended a meeting held here in South Jersey which was lead by officals of the Nuclear R.egulatory Commission.
The meeting was held in Salem, New Jersey.
At that meeting only those people within a 10 mile radius were allowed to speak concerning the generating station and plant. There were many others present who live outside the ten-mile area who ~ould be affected in the event of an accident at the plant.
I woald appreciate it if you would examine this situation and advise me of the reason for this decision of the NRC.
Also I would appreciate any information regarding how the NRC obtains public comment and how that comment is handled after being obtained by the NRC.
