Dear Commissioner.- Anders:

WASHINGTON Dl'FIC£:

NEW.JERSEY 08360 (609) 696-3269 151 NDRnt BROADWAY AVENUE-PENNSVILL.E, NEW.JERSEY DB070 (609) 678-3333 I am enclosing a letter I received from one of my constituents regarding the possible waiving of license procedures for the position of Chief Operating Engineer at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station in my District.

As you can see, the concern is that sufficient importance in terms of complete qualification for the position is being ove~looked ; expediency in startup seems to be dictating* that less than acceptable require-ments will be permitted.

I would like your response to the questions raised by Mrs. Horner in this matter, and would appreciate your reply as soon as possible.

  • With kind personal regards.

Sincerely,.
