VENDOR INSPECTION OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANYS QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM AND TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 21 PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Dear Mr. Hosack:
This letter documents the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of the Westinghouse Electric Companys Appendix B, Quality Assurance Program Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants, to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities quality assurance and 10 CFR Part 21, Reporting of Defects and Noncompliance, programs as they pertain to activities related to the corrective actions taken associated with the thermal conductivity degradation issues in fuel modeling. As discussed via electronic mail on January 7, 2019, the NRC inspection team plans to arrive at your facility on Monday, February 25, 2019, and will conduct an inspection through Friday, March 1, 2019. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
