The training, Interactions with Tribal Governments: Staff Support & Other Resources, will be offered on September 17, 2018, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm EST, and September 25, 2018, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm EST. The training will be held in Three White Flint North, 1C 03/1C05 and as a Webinar. Video/teleconferencing (VTC) will also be available in the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Regional Offices.
Participants will learn about tools and resources that are available to assist them in their consultation with, and outreach to, Native American Tribal Governments. Upon completion of the course, participants will also better understand the roles and responsibilities of the Tribal liaisons and the Regional State Liaison Officers, and when and how to involve those individuals in their activities. This course content also reflects the principles outlined in the NRCs Tribal Policy Statement and Tribal Protocol Manual.
Who should attend: all levels of staff and management, particularly those who have responsibilities in licensing, decommissioning, rulemaking, and emergency planning, and who may either routinely or occasionally interact with Native American Tribal Governments, or manage staff who have these responsibilities.
Please mark your calendar and plan to join us. If you are unable to attend in person, the following Webinar information is provided below. Please note that the training sessions will be recorded.
Employees will receive credit in iLearn for attending the training session.
