Docket 50-255 License DPR-20 Palisades Plant IE Bulletin 75-05 In response to IE Bulletin 75-05 "Operability of Category 1 Hydraulic Shock and Sway Suppressors," we indicated in our May 16, 1975 letter that we would provide a monthly progress report on the status of a review of the design and installation of hydraulic restraints for the Palisades Plant.
This letter provides the first report.
We have reviewed the design re~uirements, which the various suppressors are intended to meet, from the manufacturer(s) and are presently correlating this information with plant design re~uirements.
In addition, the preoperational testing procedures have been reviewed from the manufacturer.
A surveillance and testing program is currently being drafted and its review by the Plant Review Committee is expected to be completed by about the middle of July 1975.
We estimate that approximately ninety percent of the re~uired information has been accumulated and that a final response and reply to IE Bulletin No 75-05 will be ready about July 16, 1975.
