[External_Sender] NRC Docket 72-1050 NRC 2016-0231 NRC - WCS EIS 2018 RE: NRC Docket 72-1050 NRC 2016-0231
Dear,
Reject the proposal to consolidate irradiated fuel in Texas or anywhere else for that matter. The transportation of nuclear waste anywhere is wrong for the simple reason that it absolves the energy producer of its responsibility by passing it on to another entity. There may be financial gain for the receiving community, but the residents will likely not share in the bounty or have any say in the matter as to whether they want it placed in their locale. Meanwhile the state or other entity using the fruit of the nuclear energy will have no concern about these waste products as they will have washed their hands of it. Let each community be responsible for the storage of their own waste and then see how support waxes or wanes for atomic energy.
Sincerely, Mr Robert J. Sim Robert Simpson 6299 Calkins Road 6299 Calkins Road Flint, MI 48532 (810) 230-7111
