Request to release excess funds from Standby Trust Account and Amendment to Standby Trust Agreement (Proprietary)
On May 16, 2017, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) notified Westinghouse Electric Company LLC (Westinghouse) of its intent to draw payment in the amount of------------------- into the Standby Trust Account held at ---------------------------- The Westinghouse NRC Standby Trust Account now contains sufficient funding to cover the estimated costs of decommissioning for the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF), which is ------------------, and for the Hematite facility, which is -------------. On September 27, 2018, Westinghouse received confirmation from the NRC of the license termination for the Hematite facility. The NRC's letter noted that Westinghouse may request that the NRC release the decommissioning funds set aside for the Hematite site.
With the termination of the Hematite license (SNM-33), there is approximately -------- in excess funds in the Standby Trust Account. Westinghouse is requesting that NRC provide written approval to -----

Additionally, the attached amendment to the Standby Trust Agreement reflects the revised Schedule A for Westinghouse, removing Hematite. Please forward a copy of the executed Standby Trust Agreement and the letter to ------ to me for Westinghouse's files.
This submittal contains proprietary information of Westinghouse. In conformance with the requirements of 10 CFR Section 2.390, as amended, of the NRC's regulations, we are enclosing with this submittal an Application for Withholding Proprietary Information from Public Disclosure and an Affidavit. The Affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information identified as proprietary may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission.
