TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS INTERPRETATION

On March 28, 1975 the NRC changed the Palisades Plant Technical Specifications and authorized the resuniption of operation.of our Palisades Nuclear Plant (Change
. No 17).
One of the i teins in the Technical Specifications change provided for 90 effective full power.days (EFPD) of operation prior to the next steam generator inspection.
Since this change was incorporated into Section 4 of the Technical.
Specifications, it is our interpretation that the interval adjustment allowance of Section 4.0 applies and that the 90 EFPD interval may be extended for an ad-.
ditional period of time of up to 25%.
Under the present operating conditions at.
the piant, we will reach 90 EFPD on about August 10, 1974.
Thus we plan to con-tinue operation of the Palisades Plant for up to 22.5 additional EFPD.
