[External_Sender] NRC-2016-0231; Docket # 72-1050 May Ma,

RE: Waste Control Specialists LLCs / ISPs Consolidated Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility Project

Dear May Ma and NRC,

High level radioactive waste causes cancer, genetic damage, and birth defects. If a person is exposed to unshielded high level radioactive waste they could die. In light of this, it concerns me that Waste Control Specialists and their partner want to import up to 40,000 tons of spent fuel, high level radioactive waste from nuclear reactors around the country, and store it at their existing site in Andrews county for 40 years. Nuclear waste in temporary storage is vulnerable to temperature extremes, wildfires, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, lightning, and shifting ground.

I am also concerned that this waste will travel along Texas railroads through large Texas cities. I live near a large Texas city, close to a railroad. So I, my family, my community, and other Texas communities could be exposed to this waste if there was a train accident.

Deny the WCS license application for Consolidated Interim Storage in Texas. The people, the land, the air, and the water at the site and along transport routes could be contaminated.

Once the damage is done it cannot be undone.

Sincerely, Jeanne Evans Jeanne Evans jeannese85@gmail.com La Coste, Texas 78039
