UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 The Honorable Cory A. Booker United States Senate Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Booker:

December 3, 2018 On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I am responding to your letter of November 16, 2018, requesting an extension of the period for public comment on the proposed transfer of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station operating license.

We were unable to extend the public comment period before it closed on November 19, 2018.

In response to your request, however, we will re-open the public comment period for an additional 30 days. Notice of this extension will be published in the Federal Register in the very near term.

Should you have additional questions or concerns, please contact Eugene Dacus, Director of the Office of Congressional Affairs, at (301) 415-1776.

Sincerely, Annette L. Vietti-Cook
