- 5) Gerard van Noordennen, LaCrosseSolutions, Letter to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, "License Termination Plan Request for Additional Information," dated May 31, 2018 The La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) License Termination Plan (LTP) was submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review on June 27, 2016 as documented in Reference I.
Following preliminary review and comments received during a public meeting held between NRC staff and LaCrosseSolutions representatives on October 20, 2016, an update to the LTP was submitted to the NRC on December 1, 2016 as documented in Reference 2. A Request for Additional Information (RAI) was received from the NRC on August 4, 201 7 as documented in Reference 3. Responses to the RAis, as well as Revision 1 to the LTP, were provided on May 31, 2018, as documented in References 4 and 5, respectively.
On May 9, 2018, the NRC provided RAI ENVIR0-26, related to groundwater. The response to the issues identified in the referenced RAI is provided in Enclosure 1.
Subsequent to the submittal of the LTP Revision 1 (Reference 4), changes to the license amendment request (LAR) and associated License Condition 2.C (5) were identified. Recently, NRC input was received that also results in changes to License Condition 2.C (5) contained in the original LTP LAR.
LAR Attachment 1, Section 2.0, "Description of Proposed Changes," and LAR Attachment 2, "Proposed License Changes," have been revised to add criteria I and J, consistent with NUREG-1700, Revision 2.
All changes have no impact on the Technical Analysis, Significant Hazards Consideration, or Environmental Impact Consideration documented in Reference 1. These changes are being provided as replacement pages to the LAR and are included in Enclosure 2.
